Escher is my favorite MC

The San Jose Museum of Art is currently exhibiting a collection of the work of MC Escher.

It is an interesting exhibit that includes much of his early work, as well as the more familiar pieces that have graced many a dorm room wall over the years.

The official MC Escher site is worth a visit. There is a fairly extensive picture gallery and a download section with a free interactive puzzle.

M.C. is not a title. Those are the initials of his first and middle name, "Maurits Cornelis"

this is one of my favorite drawings that escher did. ilove the curving technique that he did in order to make it look realistically like he was gazing into a giant shined marble. the detail on his hand alone is amazing. it is so realistic. the texture on it almost makes me think that i could reach out and grasp it. LOVE HIS WORK!
